The Computer

I dream of a life better than this,
A satisfying life filled with achievement and goals.
A life which is definitely not this.

This can’t be my life, can it?
I didn’t expect it to turn out like this.

Where did it go wrong?
What happened for it to be like this?
This is definitely not what I expected.

It can be good or bad, depends on which way you look at it.
Fun or boring, depends what you do with it.
Is it so wrong to curse the fool who invented the computer?

I feel like I spend half my life on the damn thing.
It gets in the way of everything.
I know I can stop it, but I just can’t.
It’s so addictive.

I would say its fun, but it’s also a pain in the arse.
When it breaks down, it causes you to frown.
When you are checking your emails it freezes up.
When you’re playing a game, it starts lagging.

You just can’t win, with it.
