What did Happen?

While we hadn’t really gotten to know each other,
I always felt like you were a good person,
To be trusted.

You were always there for more me,
And smiling even when you were struggling.
You always knew what to do in a situation like this,
And you never backed down when someone was giving you a hard time.

You encouraged me to do my best,
To be better than all the rest,
To never give up and to keep on going.

I never thought it could be true,
To meet a person as great as you.
I always felt it was a dream,
Until you came along and gave me hope.

The dream could continue until it ran out,
But one day you weren’t there.

I wondered were had you gone.
And then I saw you, over there.
I called out and you ignored me.
I put my heart out there,
And it got pulled to pieces.

I never knew I could meet a person like you,
But I always knew it was too good to be true.
You were always there just for the fun of it.

What did happen to turn you into a git?
Did we get into a fight that I knew nothing about?
Did you make other friends that snickered about me?
Tell me the truth, be honest and out there.
I promise not to scare.
